Adly retains Amanah Melaka chairman post
BANDA HILIR Nov. 12 – As expected, Melaka Chief Minister Adly Zahari secured the highest number of votes (97) and was made the state Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) chairman during the recent state Amanah election.
State exco member Datuk Mohd Sofi Abdul Wahab who garnered 72 votes, the third highest in the state Amanah Convention here last Sunday was appointed as the deputy chairman.
Adly’s private secretary Yuhaizad Abdullah who was fifth with 70 votes and Tampin MP Datuk Dr Hassan Baharom who secured the second highest number of votes (75) were both appointed as vice-chairman.
Meanwhile Mahani Othman Basir was appointed as the Wanita chief while Mohd Khomeini Kamal was made the Youth chief.
The one-day convention was opened by Amanah president Mohamad Sabu.
